GtoPdb Ligand ID: 10211

Synonyms: mANP | mutant atrial natriuretic peptide
Compound class: Peptide
Comment: This is a naturally occurring variant of human atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) [2]. It is a fusion protein that contains the full 28 amino acids of ANP plus a 12 amino acid C-terminal extension. In comparison to normal ANP this longer peptide exhibits enhanced blood pressure-lowering, renal-enhancing, and aldosterone-suppressing actions in vivo.
